Pirotess (Goddess)
Record of Lodoss War

While thinking of costumes to make this year (2007), I found several photos of Pirotess saved on my hard drive and thought it would be fun to get Beverly to be Deedlit with me. Beverly is also a long-time fan of Lodoss so it didn't take much arm twisting to get her to agree ;) The first costume set we decided to make is from the artwork displayed on the left. I always thought the costumes seemed sort of Greek Goddess-like so that's why we refer to this set as the Goddess version.

The most time consuming aspect of this costume was making the armor, simply because it takes quite some time for all the glue and paint to dry. We used the tutorial from Firefly Path as a base for the armor, if you wish to view their tutorial just sign up for membership - it's free :) The ears were ordered from Aradani Costumes, and are lots of fun to wear :) The wig was purchased from Cosworx and I couldn't be happier with the quality and color of it!
